Growing up with dyslexia was quite challenging, in many respects, but ultimately what I feel has led to the successes that I have experienced in my life. Had I not received the early intervention from my parents and educators my story could have turned out differently. When I heard of there was a Charter School for kids with dyslexia, I knew I had to help. Louisiana Key Academy offers kids like me an opportunity for future success. Dyslexia is not in every family, but it is in every community which significantly affects us all. Our society is better off when all kids are receiving proper education in an environment that allows them to excel.
